The shipyard belonging to PT Krakatau Shipyard in Kampung Gondaran, Puloampel Village, Puloampel Subdistrict, Serang District, exploded on Friday, August 11, 2017 around 7.45 morning. The explosion occurred suddenly when the handler was welding in the boat body. Instantly there was a loud explosion of the location. as a result of the explosion, the plates inside the vessel were flying and employees were struck by ship material.
As a result of the incident, five people reportedly died and other 4 people injured. The people have been taken to RSUD Panggungrawi Cilegon for injured, and the victim who died to Serang Hospital.
