One Miner Died Due to the Landslide of Stone Cliffs in Kebumen

There has been an landslide of rock cliffs in Dukuh Era, Karangkembang Village, Alian Subdistrict, Kebumen Central Java on Monday (20/11) . Landslide occured in the mining area, when the incident happened it was in a condition mined. As a result of the incident, one person was reportedly died as a result crushed by stone.

At the time of the incident, there were several miners at the scene. Three people were exposed to rubble, one person died, while two other survivors were safe. Both are local villagers and injured to be rushed to the hospital.

According to witnesses at the location of the incident, the incident occurred at around 8.30 am. The victims were doing the excavation of ground rocks using traditional equipment such as gancu or belencong to split rocks.

While digging, allegedly landslide occured when excavated by one of the victim. The victim fell and buried by a large boulder. While the other two victims are more fortunate because they were in a lower position. Further survivors are taken directly to Kebumen General Hospital.

Currently the police together with the Inafis Team are still at the scene to investigate the location of the mine.
