Sail Karimata 2016, is an annual event that is routinely held as an event in order to brighten the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia to 71. This event also involves various Ministries / Institutions, which is coordinated by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs Coordinator. In addition, this event also aims to become one of the efforts to accelerate the development and also the development of the maritime resources potential as well as Indonesia"s tourism sector to improve the welfare of society, especially to the people who lived by the coast. As an effort to support this event in terms of health services, the Ministry of Health through the Crisis Center of Health conducted a Sail Karimata Health Services in 2016 in the district of North Kayong West Kalimantan 2016 to address their potential health problem when the event begins.
Started with the coordination which is Event Coordination Meeting and Socialization of Sail Karimata 2016 which the implementation is done from the central to local levels. Central Meeting itself has done from the beginning of the month in February 2016 by the Center for Health Crisis in the Ministry of Health. Local Coordination meeting with the Head of the Health Department of West Kalimantan province has been conducted by the Health Crisis Center led by the Head of crisis center of Health since March 21, 2016. Kalbar Health Department is ready to take a part in the success of Karimata Sail 2016 event in the District of North Kayong.
The series of preparatory activities to provide health services for the Karimata Sail 2016 event has done like the activities to prepare the human resources involved by conducting training or drill. This capacity-building activities was attended by 50 participants. Then after getting training materials or drill, HR personnel have also been trained through rehearsal or simulation activities to enhance the material has been obtained. The preparation of other medical needs as well prepared as the fulfillment of the stock of medicines, medical devices, and the pharmaceutical warehouse of district / city.
Health service preparation activities performed included Health Services Preparation for VVIP and VIP and communities who were involved and attended the peak of the event of Sail Karimata 2016. Commencing on March 23, 2016, coordination been made between the Crisis Center of Health and Ka Kesdam and Ka Runkit which in this coordination team of the Ministry of Health led by the Head of crisis center of Health agreed with Ka Kesdam and Ka Runkit preparation for VVIP Health Care in cooperation with Presidency Guard.
Then on March 21 the Ministry of Health team led by the Head of crisis center of Health held a coordination meeting with PHO Head of West Kalimantan Province than been held at the Provincial Health Office of West Kalimantan. The meeting agreed that the Provincial Health Office is ready to provide services to VIP guests. After that also last preparatory meeting been held, which was attended by cross-programs of the Ministry of Health for the preparation of health care setup for VVIP, VIP and Society of North Kayong district in the peak event of Sail Karimata 2016.
The peak of the 2016 Sail Karimata held in Sukadana District, North Kayong Regency, West Kalimantan on 15 October 2016. The event was opened by President Joko Widodo, who was accompanied by the first lady, Iriana Joko Widodo.
