Dissemination Socialization of Disaster Risk, 19-22 June 2017

In an effort to increase community knowledge and understanding of disaster risks in the region as well as the health impacts from the disaster, the Health Crisis Center held dissemination activities for Disaster Risk Reduction. The activities are held from 19 - 22 June 2017 in Ende District located in the southern subdistrict of Ende, which includes high risks for volcanic hazards, landslides and floods and extreme weather.

Activities planned to be attended by members of the House of Representatives, was represented to members of Parliament District Ende Muhammad Orba ST. It was also attended by the head of Public Health Office drg. Muna Fatma, M.Kes and South Ende subdistrict Muhammad Shahab, SH. The meeting was also attended by community leaders and religious leaders. A total of 150 people attended the socialization meeting.

The Head of Health Office at the meeting conveyed not only the threat of hazard that existed in Ende District, but also the efforts that have been done in all stages of the cycle of disaster. Meanwhile Mr. Kamaruzzaman from the Health Crisis Center conveyed the importance of the community"s role in disaster risk reduction at all stages of the disaster. Socialization activities are also continued with social service health.
